On October 5th, 2013, our office combined efforts with 3 of our local branches to raise money for Operation Smile. We did what we call "Office Olympics" where four teams were able to participate in different events that included : Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Egg Toss, Egg Spoon Relay and many other fun games. The winning office won $100 to be used towards their next team event. As the winning team we spent $56 sponsoring a laser tag night and donated the rest right back to Operation Smile.

Operation Smile is a charity that works with children and adults in third world countries who are born with cleft lips/ cleft palates. This is the second year that we have raised funds and our office has pledged to raise over $1,000.
Here's some quick facts about Operation Smile:
- $248 dollars and 45 minutes is all it takes to change a life
- Every 3 minutes a child is born with a cleft lip or cleft palate
- 1 in 10 children born with a cleft lip will die before their first birthday
- Of those that survive, most are often unable to eat, speak, socialize or smile
- Celebrities like Pro Skater Tony Hawk and NFL Quaterback Peyton Manning were born with cleft lips
